Ohioans submitted a total of 157,338 new business filings by mid-December 2020 versus 2019 record of 130,621 total new filings, according to Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose.
The record filings could be stunning considering the current Covid-19 pandemic situation in the world. Many businesses have closed and so many people have lost their jobs due to precautions and protocols taken, established and some mandated to stop the spread of the pandemic.
The challenges and mostly the curfew or “stay-at-home” orders had led to the revolution in online business and marketing and may have prompted many to begin and register their own businesses.
“We all have heard ‘when one door closes, another one opens’ — and with so many businesses suffering right now, we have seen Ohioans embrace new opportunities in record numbers to serve their communities,” said Secretary of State Frank LaRose in his December 2020 reports.
In this new development and response to the challenges, the new American and immigrant community has brought to the fore their ingenuity in entrepreneurship which the New Americans Business magazine is founded to promote, project and exhibit in the media space for knowledge and acknowledgement.
Every entrepreneur will be given the space to inform, educate, interact and exhibit knowledge, skills and craft for all to learn and assimilate.
As we commit 2020 to history, it is with hope that we rise to build an endearing and enduring business community that will stand the test of any time. Join us as we rise!
According to Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, “In these final days of the holiday season, search out local businesses in your community so you can help your neighbors grow their version of the American dream.”
