Arise Program: Participants express optimism

Deandra Harrison, founder of “The Action That Matters For Youth,” and Michelle Coleman, founder of Wealth Consulting LLC, are members of the Cohort Arise Program provided by JPS Print and Accelerated Columbus. They have already seen positive results. They are optimistic about the future and believe the program will help them take their business to the next level.

The Cohort Arise Program provided by JPS Print and the city of Columbus Accelerated Columbus Initiative works to provide resources to entrepreneurs, such as education, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help them grow their businesses.

The cohort has a dynamite twist by partnering with local, state, and public-private enterprises to provide resources to help participants gain valuable experience while working with the top industry professionals in the community. Through this program, participants like Michelle Coleman and Deandra Harrison will gain hands-on experience and knowledge to help their clients succeed academically, professionally, and personally.

Deandra Harrison:

“The Action That Matters For Youth” is a non-profit that empowers middle and upper school students with IEP/504/ETR facing anxiety, sensory processing, and social health challenges. They help young individuals reach their full potential.

The organization also works to empower young people to become active and engaged citizens in their communities. They provide resources and support to youth, helping them to develop their leadership skills and learn how to advocate for positive change. Also, with the belief that every young person has the potential to make a difference in their community, they strive to provide them with the tools to do so.

With a degree in Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communication and a Master’s in Education, specifically in intervention and behavior management for K-8, she is using her passion to improve the quality of Education in underserved communities. Her media relations background helps her connect with the right resources to enhance literacy among K-8 and even with adults.

Michelle Coleman, founder of Wealth Consulting LLC:

Michelle Coleman of Wealth Consulting Group LLC is taking the ARISE program provided by JPS Print and the city of Columbus Accelerated Columbus Initiative. With new tools and knowledge, she plans to use updated strategies to explore areas where she can assist existing and potential new clients. By doing so, she can increase the scope of her business and provide a broader range of services to her clients.

During the cohort, participants learn how to create effective strategies to increase sales to existing customers. It includes understanding customer needs and motivations, creating value propositions, developing unique selling points, establishing personal customer relationships, and more. Learning these strategies can help businesses to sustain their growth and maximize profits.

The cohort aims to provide WCG with various options to assist their clients in achieving greater financial freedom.
