Five years after operating as online store Naijasoulfoods African Market has opened officially on 3323 E Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio promising Nigerian, African and Caribbean groceries.
“We bring the best of Naija to the USA, and we also sell other African and Caribbean groceries which include different protein options, flours and grains, spices, herbs, beverages and other household commodities,” the owner Azeezat Balogun told New Americans magazine.
“Naijasoulfoods was birthed to provide accessibility to authentic African foods, spices and cultural flavors that promote health and well-being.
“We also aim to encourage connection building, expand diversity and create new opportunities for cultural exchange within the community. We have an Etsy store where we sell to customers nationwide and internationally.” said Azeezat Balogun.
“What makes Naijasoulfoods stand out is that we have varieties of Nigerian food and other cultural items that are symbolic to Nigerians and may not be found in any other African stores.”
